Arts on Fire

Perfect for ages 5-8 who love painting and drawing, exploring new ideas, and playing with color and design concepts. No experience required — just curiosity and enthusiasm!

What They’ll Learn

In this 7-week course, kids will:

• Experiment with painting and drawing in different styles each week
• Try new tools and techniques in a low-pressure, fun environment
• Create a brand-new artwork every class to take home and share
• Discover what kinds of art they enjoy most through playful exploration

Why It Matters

Exploring art helps kids discover what they love while building creativity, focus, self-expression, and fine motor skills. This class emphasizes fun and variety over perfection — giving students the freedom to try new things and grow their confidence as young artists - all in a safe, inspiring environment.

Instructor Bio

Led by Mira Armstrong, an OCAD graduate and professional artist with many years of experience teaching all age groups. Mira is technically gifted and highly skilled at translating her knowledge into lessons children can easily understand and enjoy — making every project approachable and fun.

End Experience

By the end of the session, students will have completed seven pieces of art exploring different mediums, techniques and styles, and will take home a collection of pieces that showcase their creativity and progress.
