Nov-Dec Kids/Youth Digital Arts (Thursdays 5-6pm) 7 Weeks | Exploration
Perfect for ages 7-14 who love drawing, designing, or exploring technology. Whether your child doodles on paper, builds in Minecraft, or loves cartoons, this class channels that creativity into real digital art skills. Prepares students for Digital Art and Animation Portfolio Track classes.
What They’ll Learn
In this 7-week course, students will:
- Learn digital drawing basics using industry-inspired tools and apps (eg. Procreate)
- Experiment with color, layering, and digital brushes to create polished artworks
- Explore photo editing and design fundamentals that are used in creative careers
- Get a taste of animation by bringing simple drawings to life on screen
- Build a mini portfolio of digital art projects they can share with friends and family
Why It Matters
Digital art is the future of creativity. Beyond fun and self-expression, these skills are highly valuable in design-driven fields like architecture, graphic design, video game design, animation, and film. Learning how to create digitally gives kids an early advantage — teaching them problem-solving, spatial awareness, and technical skills that schools and future employers look for. Parents are often surprised to learn that digital art isn’t just play; it’s professional training that can open doors to countless opportunities down the road.
