Arts on Fire

Ideal for ages 8–14, this exciting 7-week Musical Theater course is perfect for kids who love to sing, act, and dance — or are eager to try musical theatre for the first time in a pressure-free, safe, supportive environment.

What They’ll Learn

In this triple-threat evening theatre class, students will:

• Explore singing, acting, and choreographed movement
• Rehearse songs, choreography, and acting scenes from the beloved musical Alice in Wonderland
• Learn character creation, stage presence, and performance skills
• Gain valuable preparation for auditions and entry into programs at All Saints, O’Neill Collegiate, Oshawa Little Theatre, and Whitby Courthouse Theatre

Why It Matters

Musical theatre is more than performance — it builds teamwork, discipline, and confidence while encouraging creativity and self-expression. Students learn how to combine voice, movement, and acting into a complete performance, developing skills that benefit both their artistic growth and personal development.

End Experience

Families are invited to a 30-minute final performance of Alice in Wonderland on the last day, Wednesday, December 17th, 7:30–8:00 pm. Students will showcase everything they’ve learned in front of a live audience — an unforgettable experience that celebrates their hard work and growth.

Requirements

• Participants must attend all 7 weeks of the course to register
• Please email a short 10-second video of your child singing a song from "Alice in Wonderland" to info@artsonfire.ca
• Students should bring a water bottle and snack each week
