Arts on Fire

Designed for Adults, this class is perfect for those who love bold colors, graphic styles, and modern art. Whether they’re inspired by comic books, street art, or iconic Pop Art masters like Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein and Keith Haring, this course gives students a fun and accessible way to create eye-catching artwork using professional paint markers.

What You’ll Learn

In this vibrant, technique-driven class, students will:

• Learn how to use paint markers for crisp outlines, smooth fills, and layered effects
• Explore classic Pop Art elements such as bold color, repetition, contrast, and stylized imagery
• Create graphic portraits, dynamic icons, and playful patterns
• Practice composition, line confidence, and color blocking
• Build skills in visual storytelling through contemporary, punchy artwork

Students will complete a new Pop Art–inspired project each week.

Instructor Bio

Emma Vincencio is a graduate of York University’s Fine Arts and Education programs and is a passionate art educator dedicated to helping young artists develop strong technical foundations. With a gentle, encouraging teaching style, Emma excels at breaking down complex concepts into approachable, confidence-building steps. Her background in both studio art and teaching allows her to support students across all levels, from beginners discovering their creative abilities to portfolio-track teens refining advanced drawing and painting techniques. Under Emma’s guidance, students feel supported, inspired, and empowered to grow as artists.

End Experience

By the end of the course, students will have created a series of bright, high-impact Pop Art pieces, including at least one showpiece artwork worthy of framing or adding to their creative portfolio.
